During Lori's tenure as a state literacy coach, she completed the Phonics First training through the Brainspring Educational Academy. The program is a multisensory approach that supports struggling readers with dyslexic tendencies in becoming successful readers.  However, she credits much of her success as a reading teacher to having completed the Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS). Gerry Britt

I am a retired math teacher, having taught public school for 28 years.  Currently I teach part time at a private academy.  I have Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Educational Specialist degrees.  Over the past 30 years, my students have ranged from junior high to college level.   My experience includes preparation for the math portion of the ACT, the PSAT, the GRE, and the ASVAB.

In 2004, I opened A+ Tutoring Center.  At A+, my staff and I worked with students of all ages.  A+ Tutoring Center was a place that parents could find help for their children’s academic needs, including test prep.  My motto for A+ was that we were trying to work ourselves out of business.  Success and confidence for the client was our focus.   I closed A+ in May of 2018 so that I could devote more time to my students rather than the day-to-day routine tasks  of running a business.
